Reading Tyres

The first thing you need to do when buying your tyres is to know what size (width, profile & rim), load rating and speed rating you need fitting to your vehicle.

The best place to get your tyre size is directly from the sidewall of your currently fitted tyres as shown here:

Reading a Tyre Wall, Explanation

BEWARE! - Some vehicles have different size tyres on the front and rear axles so please check your vehicle carefully.

ALSO! - You can find your vehicles tyre size in the owner’s manual but if you have bought the car second hand, the previous owner may have changed the wheel and tyre size and therefore the information in the manual will be different to what you actually need. Therefore, we do not recommend you check for your tyre size in this way, please look on the tyre sidewall.
