Run on Flat or as their most commonly known, ‘Run Flat Tyres’ have been developed to eliminate the need to carry a spare wheel/tyre in the boot of your vehicle. The self-supporting structure has been engineered to enable the vehicle to drive if the tyre loses air pressure.

This allows the driver to travel safely to their destination even when the tyre has been punctured therefore removing the need for wheel changing at the side of the Road.

Although the general idea behind this technology is very welcome, unfortunately; because of the construction costs for this type of tyre, the end user price is not. Also, most tyre manufacturers do not recommend this type of tyre be repaired resulting in a further purchase of a Run Flat tyre.
